Hi , i have a cavalier king charles spaniel and they are lovely dogs ,they are easy to train ,always loving and are great with people ,they like chasing things though so be careful to always have his lead on around fast cars etc ,they adapt to your life, you dont have to have a large garden, i have never regretted getting my dog he is 14 weeks old and almost house trained ,he goes in a crate at night time which he doesnt mind i made it nice and comfy with pillows and blankets ,a teddy that he loves to cuddle (or kill depending on mood) i dont put his food or water in there but some people do ,they are small oliver only weighs 6 pound now ,they are happy dogs with a constant tail wagging ,you wont regret getting your dog ,just make sure you get it from a proper breeder and ask to see mum and maybe dad ,but definetly see mum ,happy dog buying xxxx

Cavaliers are fantastic pets. They love children, adults, elderly and other animals.
They are playful and active but also like to sleep (be warned they often snore). They are ALWAYS happy and ready for a cuddle.
The downfall (as with all pure breeds) they do have some congenital and hereditary medical conditions.
They are notorious for ear infections and developing cardiomyopathy (fluid around the heart/ heart murmurs). They are also likely to get anal gland problems and some (few) get patella (knee) problems.
I have had a cav in the past and look forward to my next.

i think they make wonderfull pets for one theyre known to be very obedient .2 theyre not that big so theyre transportable . # theyre adorabley cute .. and besides making great pets and having wonderful temperment they are good show dogs ... im actually getting a 8 wk old cockerspaniel on valentines day from my husband ... what i did is i bought the essential needs for a puppy ... mini bisquits to train her with , puppy bed , towel shampoo , brush , flea collar , find a veterinarian in your area , puppy food ... i suggest maximum puppy chow with chicken ingredients .. chew toys ... a small water gun for when she misbehaves you squirt her one time n say no ... and most importantly .... alot of love ... good luck

They make a lovely companion, my Grandparents have had two ex-show dog cavaliers , you will need to groom their hair regularly and don't feed them too much!

There beautiful dogs, but have heart problems.
Apparently it's quite rare to have one that doesn't have a slight heart murmur.
But it's not that serious and there very good pets.

Any dog can make a good pet as long as you train and socialize him/her.
