someone made a comment to me that I would like to discuss here...the comment was that we as spiritual beings were born into this flesh body to be tested and to see where our spirits truly stand with GOD...made sense to me...what about ya'll?

I fully agree.

God doesn't test us because He doesn't know what's in our hearts.
He tests us so that we can see what's in our hearts.

It's in hard times that our true colors shine through.

Sort of the same way you would refine silver.

When refining silver they heat it up, so that all impurities come to the surface, the refiner then clears out the impurities.
And so he carries on with the process until he can see his own reflection in the silver.

God is the same.
He cleanses us until He can she His image in us.

Blessings on your journey.

If life is a test, then the test has a really crappy methodology. What would the test prove? Testx are meaningless unless they are standardized to some degree so that we can see how different individuals respond to the same test. But everyone has a different life to live. Some are born rich and some are born dirt poor. Some are born into loving families and some are born into abusive and perverted families. Some people are born perfectly normal and some are born with mental and physical defects. Some are born in peaceful nations and some are born in war torn countries. You can't compare a physicist with someone born with down syndrome, or compare a rich heiress to an orphan. Their lives are totally different. For the test to have any type of reliability and validity, everyone would need to be born into the same conditions, and life doesn't work that way. So I don't think life is a test. If I am wrong, and God is using this life to test us, then God needs to go to college and take some research and psychological assessment courses because his method sucks. No academic journal would accept his work.

I disagree that it's a test. We are spiritual beings born into a body to make a choice of whether we want to fulfill our purpose to glorify God or simply reject God and the purpose for which we were created. Through Adam and Eve's sin, man failed the test of obedience, and now it's a matter of choice of whether we accept God's solution for the consequence of that failure.

would you have a child to test it and see where it's spirit truly stands, and then if you did'nt like where your childs spirit stands, send your child to an eternity of fire? if we are being tested, then we all fail. and would'nt god know everything about everyone, even before conception? so he would just sit back and watch his children go to "hell", and not change a thing? no, we are hear to learn, not to be sent to "hell" for anything. and if we are to be sent to "hell" it is no one persons job here on earth to do so. not through scripture or belief. what we should do is worry about ourselves, help those who want it, and try daily to be better people and less judgmental of anyone and what they do or don't believe.

if you believe that...then explain this.

children are innocent....we know this and the Bible even tells us this. how can children die then come back from the other side and tell us things like.....we get to pick our hair, eye color and all before we come down to earth....meaning...as an angel in heaven, we actually picked out what we look like today. so to not like yourself, you do only have yourself to blame if these children are right. that would mean coming to earth as a human is not a test but a choice maybe or even a privilege.

I do believe the children when they say our pictures of Jesus are wrong. As I have Jesus on film as this was 1 of a 3 step process he used to prove to me of his existence. This image matches that image of the Shroud of Turin and these two images match that description of him in the Bible. Long white hair, eyes of fire (lanterns), etc. I do not know where nor why so many follow and use the image they have of him today.

If this is a test, someone needs to rewrite it, it is not very fair. Some people are born to abusive drug addict parents, many are born in Asia and Africa with nothing all their lives struggling to survive and some are oppressed by their governments into beliefs and actions, not exactly a level playing field is it?

Nope... I don't agree because then there would have been no reason for God to sacrifice His son for our sin.

He would have just sent us a recording of the Emergency broadcast system instead, and spared His son the pain and torment...

Beeeeeeeeeeep...
