It wasn't anywhere near a border crossing . It was at least 25 miles north of the border, NW of Tuscon. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/mexico_migrants_dc

Could it be Mexican bandits, preying on Mexicans, like they do in Mexico all the time?

Vegas bear this thought in mind,Vigilantes" are what happens when government abdicates its responsiility to protect the citizenry - or defend the borders. What was done is wrong, but understandable.

Makes me wonder why the Mexican gov. is asking anything since they do everything possible to aid these people in breaking the laws of the United States while being very FIRM in the security of their own borders.
My guess - a coyote that didn't get all the money that they wanted and people paying with their life because of it. For those of us that live in states close to the Mexican border, such is not uncommon news - if it even makes the news because it is so common.

i'm so happy to verify the fact written for all to work out. it is not something yet propaganda. President Bush threw that word accessible and unlawful supporters have used it to death. it is not genuine, by no ability became, by no ability would be. individuals made this u . s . what this is, and while our government removes each of the illegals we are able to make it great as quickly as lower back. If illegals are so worthwhile, and so complicated working why are their international places such a multitude that they are working from as rapid as they'd. And in the event that they're so worthwhile why is it unlawful for them to paintings, stay and go our borders.

I think if Mexico is so worried about it's citizens then they should do more to close the border so this doesn't happen. They should expect people who are invading the US to be treated in the same exact manner that they are in Mexico! They are thrown in jail and usually never heard of again! This is not Mexico and they should keep their nose out of the US business!!
P.S. This is one reason why those Border Control agents are in prison right now! Bush is a traitor for not pardoning them!

This is a big problem. The whole mess of it. When it's laid out, corruption in the Mexican government is the first problem, then it's US corporations in Mexico for cheap labor. It's really, excuse me, a shitty situation. I thinkt Mexico should be the US priority, not Iraq. It's a shame to see this stuff happen to our neighbors and stand idley by and create the Iraq quagmire. Fix the Mexican govenment, fix them needing to come here to surrive for their families.
As for the shoortings, it's too bad, but while you break the law you leave yourself lawless.

It probably was Mexican bandits, like in Mexico. The bordered areas (at least 25 miles inland) are infested with illegal aliens.
I think the US ought to demand a Mexican inquiry into keeping it's people in thier own country.

Well...They need to be able to prove that they were in fact citizens of Mexico. And if they were, how come they were in the US without the proper documents. What was their intentions?
