You should probably avoid All and Any Hot and Spicy Food
Your Main Diet should include things like Ice Creams,Salads, and Soft Drinks and chill Water.Do Not take anything in Excess Cold. This should be your Main diet for the first weak....I know it Hurts a Lot the First week.Do not take Hot food at all and don't keep fidgiting the area with your tongue....avoid the area completely. In may be two weeks or three you'll be Just fine....Take care.......signed...SPIDOZ

I'm an oral surgeon's assistant =).

Do not eat anything crunchy or that has sharp borders, also nothing too hot, nothing spicy, do not chew on ice. Do not use a straw, sip liquids and soups. A frosty milkshake is also reccomended for the discomfort, and also cause it's tasy! You can eat mashed potatoes, soup, pasta, and ice cream among many other things.

Try and stay away from salty foods, and stay with foods that are soft to chew, such as boiled eggs, peanut butter and jelly, jello etc. You don't want to eat anything with high salt content trust me.

What you eat does not matter, you could stop eating and you would heal up soon. I takes a few months, the holes slowly close up.

Try eating protein shakes with no fruit in them, etc., and avoid aspirin - its a blood thinner, and you need the wounds to clot so they heal.
