Long story short. My wife has good credit and mine is messed up. Can she get my name put on one of her credit cards?

yes she can, if she gets it in her name then she can add a spouse

Yes, you can be placed on her card as an authorized user which will definitely help your credit. If her account has been opened for a number of years, that credit history is now attached to your name which raises your credit score. Rebuilding your credit is not hard at all....you just have to know what to tackle.

Just a few pointers:
If you have items in collection status and the last reporting date is more than 2 years old, don't mess with them. If you try to correct it then the date of last activity is started all over again which means the 7 years it takes for it to come off takes even longer.
If you have accounts that are delinquent for more than 30 days, bring those current then try to get them down to under 30% of balance.

Yes, she can contact any credit card company that she has established herself with and request a second card with your name.
