What you describe I call soul sickness - and the best thing for it is meditation. Some people are very comfortable with meditating seated quietly, but others need a more active sort of meditation - like running, cleaning the garage, etc. I like the deep breathing that comes along with yoga, personally. I can also tell you that I used a great herbal remedy to help me get over my post-partum depression (I thought I would never be happy again then) called SAMe and it worked wonders in minutes. I was so surprised and impressed and only had to use it for a short time. Here's the link: http://www.mynsp.com/carole/products/guide.aspx?stockNum=1845 Of course, you might want to speak to your healthcare professional if you are on medications or before you start any supplements or exercise program - I don't know you or your specific circumstances, I can only tell you what worked for me.
Peace!

Get a notebook and write down all the good things in your life. Anytime something good happens, even if it's tiny, write it down. Read over the list when you feel upset.
Also, set a goal. Anything you want. Then make sure you do one thing each day toward that goal. It makes it seem more attainable and easier to do.
For example, if you hate your job, do one thing each day to get a better one. It can be:
fix up your resume
call a place you want to work and ask if they're hiring
call a school and inquire about a class or program
It can be something simple and quick, but if you do one thing per day, before you know it, you'll have what you want.

Hey love,
I have these feelings sometime and used to a lot. Almost 24/7.. It mgiht be different for boz i have depression.. BUT
One thing i learnt is that I needed to change my thought process.
Every time i siad " i cant do it!" I would stop and say "wait yes i can"
I would right down all the positive thing.. Like ' im so good" ," im good at... " , " im so pretty " , " i am the best " even i didnt think these thing sometimes.. I would say them over and over..
soon enougj my neg feelings were no as strong. I started to love myself i bit more.
Feeling Hopeless is a crappie feeling, you can over come it. Think positive things... befroe thinking teh negative one.
hope iv helped... in some way.. it really hard explain.

You cant keep a positive attitude to everything in your life. It is time to be safe in a safe place. Avoid those you know are not like you and are causing pressure. Depression is all about friends and family . After you are able to accept that you are an outsider then you can begin to recover. Start small and find one new friend who is like yourself. Remember there is an insult unto death. Once you study how the other group operates in life you can then stay close to those who are on the same waveband as yourself.

Think about the good things in your life. Do thing that you enjoy. Look forward to something you really like, like a new episode of your favorite TV show. If that fails, just let loose. Just do whatever you want for a day.

Practice yoga. I just started last week, the result is so great. It makes you focus on what you do and keep you open-mind and think on the positive side. Also make you feeling relax, upbeat, self-motivated. Worth a try!

When you start feeling that way, write down all the things you have in your life and those who care about you.
Talk to a psychologist.
Life is supposed to be fun and exciting, not panicky all the time.
The best answer I can give you is.... Talk to God about it. He is there to pick us up when we are down..

How can anyone feel positive in a world full of suffering animals, killed children, raped women, aborted fetuses, tortured men and non-stop misery and suffering everywhere?

You need to see a doctor, therapist, minister, or someone for support.
You don't have to feel like this.
