Bananas are fine for dogs in moderation. My dog loves them, but she only gets a couple of small pieces as a treat once in a awhile. There are lots of fruits and vegetables that are fine. No grapes or raisins though and definitely, no chocolate.
I'm adding as link to a great web site that you can print and keep on your fridge, so the you and the rest of your family know what you should never feed your dog.

RE:
Are bananas good for dogs?
I been feeding my 5 month old Pit puppies with bananas lately (dog food too of course)...I just want to make sure they are safe for my pups' digestive system.

It might be a good idea to check with a vet about whether your pup can have bananas or not. Our son and his family have a dog who loves bananas. You have to really watch her
as she'll beg with those beautiful brown eyes. Good luck with finding out what is best.

My vet told me no sweet fruits, Grapes and Bananas, Dogs cant break down the sugars contained within them. But try telling that to my dogs----they love them

They aren't *good*. Once in awhile should be fine, but on a regular basis... dogs just don't digest them well. Nothing toxic... just... don't go through too well. Its probably not a good idea to be giving them to a puppy, though... as puppies need things to help develop their digest system.
Oh, and to the person above me... DO NOT feed your dog broccoli and garlic... broccoli causes their stomach to invert due to the gas if they eat too much (major emergency surgery is usually required) and garlic is toxic to them. Also don't feed your dog nuts (especially macademia... MAJOR pancreatic attack), onions, grapes/raisins, most dried fruit, chocolate, caffeine, etc...

I am going to go with no, because we look at a dog's natural diet, which is a wolf's diet, since they are genetically almost identical. In the wild, a wolf would never get fruit, it is not natural, and it is not necessary. Your dog needs MEAT, protein, they are natural carnivores, give them that as a treat, not fruit.

It is a very soft food, but it might have some chemicals in it that are bad for dogs and pups.
