If they're trying to get you to do what THEY want they're no suck up, they're a master manipulator. Stand your ground. The last thing a manipulator's ego needs it to beat you at your own game.

Highest incarceration rate in the world. Highest poverty rate of any "developed" country, as if it should even be called "developed" Highest usage of petroleum in the world and therefore greenhouse gas emissions Highest rate of landfill waste in the world. One of the shittiest education systems of any "developed" country Has one of the shittiest most unstable government Lack of public transport Some of the world's longest traffic congestions Everyone is a fat **** One of the highest if not the highest crime rate of any "developed" country Huge gaps between the rich and the poor No free healthcare, so you have to spend 25% of your income on it They call football "soccer" Death penalty still allowed There are 8 guns for every 10 people, explains all the ******* murders The Land created by immigrants, yet it hates immigrants The government spending all the money on the army, they probably need it to stop itself getting bombed because it's such a **** country. Most of the people are dyslexic imbeciles Calls itself the "richest" country, though yes it is, but most of the wealth is owned by a handful of people, leaving 20% of the population to live below the poverty line. All the sugar, fat and additives they put in their food. Little financial support for the poor Lots of racism and financial segregation Few jobs, few opportunities Most of the people in the South are homophobic Christians that just want to suck Jesus's dick all day There Are you still proud of America? If you can think of anymore please add on

Well, your terminology is wrong - just look up sycophant - but when someone is trying to make me do as s/he wants it depends. Maybe I want to do it or maybe it's not worth fighting over; then too, I might make a deal - I'll do this if later you'll do that.

In any case, I do not surrender myself respect to others.

If you don't stand your ground you become a doormat in their eyes.
Opportunist's are everywhere. Learn to recognize them or you will never get your own things done.

You will find the right words. No need to be rude.

Good Luck

Generally, I ignore them and do whatever I want. You don't really specify the "tone" in which they're sucking up to you, (i.e. malicious, simpering, etc) and I think I would craft my response in accordance with their attitude.

Say to them " wow, your lips are brown from kissing my *&# so much"! They should get the hint. Don't cave to *#% kissers. They just ignore you once they get what they want. I have no patience for that!!!!!!!
