well this may seem very shallow, but if you want the guy to talk to you seduce him with sexual innuendos. Any guy will talk to you with that type of stuff. I hate the whole flirting game, but I know what guys look for cause I am one. Its too bad we care about looks a lot too., but its in our biological instincts to fiend for sexually attractive creatures. Consider this shallow cause it is, but just face the truth. Love is not love, it is just lust. One huge game of sexual animal lust.

Ask him about his favorite sports ,teams, hobbies, his car ask many questions about him try to get him to talk about himself , its a known fact people like to talk about themselves, ask him about his favorite dining out experience or his favorite dining-out place, music styles, or give him a note and ask him to call you,e-mail...

find out who his friends are & ask them as much as you can so that you can find out as much as you can about him then approach him & start talking about his interests as he won't be able to keep his mouth closed as everyone likes talking about themselves.
