The women I have run accross lately seem to have no concept of romance. Do women these days think men are just heartless pieces of meat? Do they not long for romance? Do then even know what ramance is? My last girl friend thought I was crazy for buying her flowers once a week. She never understood why I would want ot light candels, set a mood and then give her a massage. She never understood the poety I sent her daily. It was like the concept of being cherrished whole heartly by a man was as forgien to her as walking on the moon. Have women changed that much over the past 20 years?

well maybe some girls don't appreciate romantic guys, but I sure do! I'd be turned off if he was not romantic. Doing the things you mentioned is extremely sweet and romantic, not to mention greatly appreciated. I'd love to be with a guy romantic like that, but I would not expect the treatment. Guys like you seem to be a rarity these days... don't change, there will be a girl who appreciates you for who you are :) good luck finding her

You bet women want romance! Perhaps all that you were doing for her (although amazing to me really)...might have been a 'tad' over the top, though, for some women (or men). I have always been a little 'too good' to the men in my life. I think you have to have a nice balance...it seems if you are too good, people don't want that...on the other hand you can't treat them totally like c*** either...it is difficult to find a good middle ground. I'd say be romantic but also a little elusive...I would love to think people outgrow games, but it has not been my experience. We are animals...so by nature, we enjoy the chase/hunt deal. So play nice...but not TOO nice...:)

I just think your with the wrong girl, some women aren't into all the romantic things. But there is a whole lot of them out that still are. Now days woman find themselves very independent, with working and taking care of their families, some of them don't have time to be romanced. Which is understandable, but on occasion I feel they deserve it. And yes woman still like romance.

your last broad sounds like a bull dike. yes women want to be romanced, but it is when they want it that baffles the male species. They want to be seen as equals to men in the workplace which I support. It is awfully hard to "romance" a woman executive that just fired her staff, destroyed peoples lives, stepped on 20 competitors heads, and acted like the typical male. They want everyone to know that they don't need men like their mothers may have...Beaver Cleaver world.
So you're a dude who likes to romance your woman so you do and she thinks you'e a wussy. Standing there with your d*ck in you hand. It takes some research to figure out just what kind of romance any woman these days wants.

I WISH my bf would do something romantic!! His idea of romance is watching reruns of Emergency! on DVD. I WANT the candles, massages, dinners out once in a while, flowers for b-day and Hallmark holidays, having the doors opened for me etc... Do you have a 30+ brother who lives in NY and loves kids that I could meet?? *LOL*

I do. It makes us feel special and love. It also show that a man is willing to go to great length to satisfy you and bring a smile to your face.
