He came in our bedroom crying said he saw a woman standing outside his bedroom door. He was worried about it the next day and scared to go to sleep tonight, What do you think? I believe there are things that cant be explained but is this one of them?
Did my kid really see something?
I told him it was just his imagination but he was very convinced he was awake. I told him then it was probably a guardian angel.

I think what you have said is fine for now.

If he keeps seeing this spirit and its really bothering him.
Then look at doing a house cleansing. Even invole him in doing the house cleansing.

But if he sees it and is ok with it.. Let it be.

Little kids brains don't work the same as adult brains. He could have had a dream and was part way awake and part way asleep and thought he saw something when it was just his brain trying to wake up. It could also be that he did see something. It might not be a ghost, it could be a relative that's passed, or just someone watching out for him. I can usually sense a presence if one is around. Have been able to since I was little. I also grew up in a haunted house, so I'm pretty used to seeing things that don't fit with what you think should be happening.

Maybe he did see something, and if he did, explain that there is nothing bad. It was someone who was there to make sure he was ok. Little kids are very connected to the spirit world. It wasn't very long ago that they were there, so the veil is still thin to them. Some kids can see things we can't. It's nothing bad or wrong, it's just something that happens. My daughter is like this. When she was a baby she would smile at the ceiling and cornors and coo as if someone was talking to her. She used to do this even in the hospital before we brought her home. She was a preemie and my husband gave her a blessing in the hospital before they flew her to another hospital that she would be surrounded by angles. I think she really was, and she could still see them when she came home. Also, in December, my grandpa passed away. At his funeral, she kept waving at the side of the chapel and kept saying "Hi Grumpa". I think he really was there, and she really could see him. Kids are funny like that, and we just have to accept the fact that they see things most of us can't. It's the fact that they are still so close to God. Their little spirits remember what it was like before they were born, and sometimes that leaks into this world for them.

There are things you can do to make sure that things are ok. Just tell whatever it is that they are dead, that they need to go to the other side, to be with God. That it is now your house and they need to leave. Be authorative, and say it with conviction and with certainty. If you are religious, you could have your house blessed, just to put your mind at ease. But I don't believe that hanging crosses, or using holy water will get rid of it. It needs to be a more telling to go away then anything. The more authority you can show, the better it will be. You could even have your son do it with you. It might help him feel better.

The other thing would be to have him talk to a couselor or someone he can trust. Maybe he has something going on that you don't know about that he needs to talk about. Some kids will manifest problems in ways like that. Good luck and it's more then likely nothing at all.

I have ghosts in my house. They are great roomates and help me find all sorts of lost objects if I ask. My daughter was born in the house and has learned to live with them very nicely and tells her classmates about them. She has not reported seeing them as yet. Others who have lived in this house have reported mysterious events like the TV or lights turning on and off without warning. And no, we haven't upgraded or changed the wiring.

I have known many sensitives that have seen spirits of all kinds since they were very young. They tell me about talking to heads under thier dressers, or being pushed on the swings for years by ppl they found out were dead. And they haven't breathed a word for nearly all their lives. Most have NOT told anyone in thier families for fear they will be treated as crazy or have to see a 'shrink'. And there is nothing they can do about it. It appears to happen without effort and without warning. Those that have reported thier experiences when they are young to family members or others have been told all sorts of nonsence: that they were dreaming, that it's a angel, that its their imagination, that they are liars, that it's Visions from God, that they are crazy... Most supress or think there is something wrong with them for many years, and are deeply ashamed of seeing what they do.

Maybe he was dreaming. Maybe you have a ghost. Maybe he has a direct pipeline to the Native spirit realm. How the heck can you know? You didn't see it. The very worst thing you can do is judge his experience. You can only support your child unconditionally the way you would with any experience. His confidence in himself, whether he was awake or not, or if he had a true dream, is something only he can decide. Contextualization is a personal and completely private occupation, even for a child. But you can have a big impact on whether he trusts his own judgement on this and any future experiences. Reassure him that he is safe, and that you love and believe in him. Same as any other day, really...

Was it during night time? He may have possibly had a bad dream. Did he happen to watch any movies that may have left a traumatic event? Did someone close pass away in the family? Maybe a grandparent? Children at that age have a short attention span so my suggestion would be to keep him distracted and occupied with activities so he doesn't have to think about it often. Eventually this event should pass and he will be fine. Time heals all! Hope everything works out!

Many spirits or demons haunt children because they don't know right from wrong. Also to take over thier bodies it real serious stuff. Demons are real this not a joke be careful.

I have seen spirits myself. I saw my son before he was born, my niece too. And after she died, I have seen my grandmother. Several times. And then I've seen spirits of people I don't know. Yeah, it is really unnerving and he probably did see something. If you want the spirit to leave, command it in the name of Jesus Christ to depart and not return.

Children can sense what we can't a lot of the time. There are many things to consider when a child confronts us with something like this.

Don't deny it. What he saw, he saw. That doesn't mean it exists. He needs you to take him seriously. Yes, I suppose there are a lot of things we neither know nor understand.
Teach him about Jesus, and show him how Jesus is with him and can protect him against any spiritual enemies that might exist.

to be frank, I think this could be one of the unexplained. i think children are more open than adults and haven't shut down the extra powers we were all born with. i like the idea of telling him it was his angel but i really wouldn't try to convince him it is his imagination.
