His name is MALACHI, and I want some sort of little design to go along with it. I don't want just his name. Any ideas, and suggestions on where i should get it too would be nice.

Hey Dee Dee, I think his little hand print would be a cool tattoo....I've seen both handprints and footprints. You could do a blue ribbon under it with his name. That's the kind of tattoo I don't think you will ever tire of.......and its something HIS kids will appreciate one day.

good luck

i put a bracelet around my wrist with my sons hand prints and foot prints and an ID charm that has his initials on it. on one of the foot prints his birthdate is in it and on another foot print is his birth weight. it is done in all different colors and for the most part people dont even realize that it is a tattoo. i got it about 3 years ago (he is almost 6) and he loves it. he was so excited to have his name on me. i dont think that any kid will regret their parents putting their name on their body. it isnt like a boyfriend or husband that might go away. ur kid will always be there. u wont have to worry about covering it up. it is a good remembrance of ur child and all the years to come. good luck

Malachi is a book in the old testament, so an open Bible with the name across the pages would be cool

I would maybe think of something that you associate with yourself being his mom and having him would be good. Like many people posted, his personality is there but you'll really see it develop as he gets a little older...but you having him and what that meant to you will not change. Best of luck and hope that it goes well.

I just saw a child tribute tattoo that I thought was awesome. They put the Zodiac symbol for the child, above the symbol was the child's foot prints. I thought it was pretty sweet.

He won't be one year old forever, so I have to disagree with getting something that relates to his personality or interests, unless you wait until he's in high school. Go for things that don't change... his horiscope sign, Chinese horoscope sign, birthstone, etc.

EDIT:
According to a website I looked at, the name means 'angel of god' you could maybe do something like his name in script, with wings around it.

Don't do that to him. He may grow up to hate it. Let it be his choice, not yours. How would you like it if your mother picked out a tattoo for you? I'm serious...think about it.
