Go to the ER. They like to test you for all sorts of things. and it gives you something to to that will eat up at least 4 hours minimum. If you aren't happy with the first answer go get another. What about mono? Meningitis, Strep, Flu, You have an assortment of things to choose from. Oh and just for everyone's own info, the vaccines are at best about 85% effective. I used to administer them regularly, and I don't know of one that was better than 85%. So good luck and go see someone else.

If you feel that bad you need to see another doctor. But it also could be that your cold is lingering, I have heard of a few patients that are coughing for the last 6 weeks. I tell them take 2000mg, Vitamin C, drink 8 glasses of water and go to bed early with a heating pad and a good book. Rest, rest, rest that's the main thing.

Your doctor didnt perscribe any antibiotics? He should of if you have a fever that high you have and infection and a fever is telling you that your body is working hard to defeat the problem. Take lots of vitamin c and drink orange juice that should help some

Sounds like the flu to me. I get the shots every year. They don't prevent the flu just make it less severe.
Also could be walking pneumonia. Get an x-ray of your lungs to be sure.

Just because you get a flu shot,
doesn't mean you can't get the flu.
Your symptoms sound like flu.
My cousins doctor told her to
go home and rest ..she died
2 days later of Pneumonia.
She was 41.........................
Another opinion couldn't hurt.
