My 5mth old dog lost it's appetite and interest in food recently.
It can't finish and doesn't want to eat even with the food infront of him.
He could finish the amount i gave him in the past, but only it happen to LOST a metal bell which was attached to his collar.
I search around the house and i couldn't find it. It is impossible outside because he had never went outside before.
Then i suspect him had SWALLOWED it as he could bend his neck and chew on it.
NOTE: (Always have the same amount given in the past and now.)
(Excited when preparing food in the past; but now feeling restless.)
What should i do before i bring it to the vet?
Or he just loses it's appetite and interest in food... and i was thinking too much?

No, you're not thinking too much. Please take the dog to the vet just as quickly as possible. A healthy 5 month old puppy doesn't lose its appetite for no reason. If he's trying to eat, but cannot finish, there could be an obstruction that requires immediate attention.

Have you noticed whether or not his solid waste is the same amount? Is he making any solid waste?

Please don't waste any time getting your puppy to the Vet.

Bell or no bell, any loss of interest in food for a dog is typically not a great sign. It could be periodical, but I would definitely take him to a vet. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume it was a small bell. To be honest, it might not even be the bell doing it. That could just be a coincidence. Nonetheless, the best option for a dog who's losing his appetite and unable to finish his food, especially when he used to get very excited about it, is to take him to the vet and explain the situation.

Good luck.

GET HIM TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY!

Any change in appetite warrants a trip to the vet. If you think he swallowed a chunk of metal... a trip to the vet. A puppy? Rush to the vet as fast as possible.

This is common sense. The fact that you haven't taken him to the vet already, given the symptoms and what you suspect, frankly strikes me as neglect. Which brings up the point... WHY HAS YOUR DOG NEVER BEEN OUTSIDE? I really hope you have him litter trained and baby him and don't just lock him up somewhere.... then again, if you did baby him, you would have taken him to the vet already.

GO TO THE VET... NOW!!!

Bring him to the vet for xrays ASAP- even emergency- then you will know if he ate it (the metal would show up on the xray) It is a lot easier to remove foreign objects from the stomach than the intestines. Plus, if he is losing his appetite- it may be too late- bells can shred their insides- he could already have internal bleeding from cuts- and then it is very expensive with a low survival rate if he goes septic (from intestinal contents going into abdomen)

Bring him to the vet. Whether he swallowed the bell or not, a lost appetite is never a good thing and at least once the vet sees him you will have peace of mind.

If there is any chance your dog swallowed the bell he needs to be to a vet tonight. His digestive tract will start to break down the bell, and essentially poison your dog.

GET HIM TO A VET ASAP!

If you believe that your dog ate the bell then you need to get him to the veterinarian as soon as possible. If the bell is made of real metal, they will be able to take x-rays and see if the bell is there. If it doesn't show up in the radiographs, they may want to do a series of radiographs that is called a barium study.

It is possible that they will need to perform surgery to remove the bell. Foreign bodies (as they are called) can be deadly to dogs and cats alike.

This sounds seriously like an obstructed bowel. Please get him to a vet for an ex-ray immediately. A bowel obstruction can kill a dog, painfully and slowly. The sooner it is found the better the chances he will live. Good luck.

I would take him to the vet asap.
If he did eat the bell it could cause an obstruction in the intestines...
This could be very serious, and you dont have time to wait and see what happens.
