eat healthy foods(good intake of your food groups) whenever you are hungry, but never overeat. Do crunches, start with a small number like 5, 10, or 15(not as many as you can do but a significant amount), and from there do 2 more after 5 days, keep raising the amount. Later you can wait a week and do 5 more every time, but do do them every day, or every other day, in the morning or whenever you have time. Be consistent with your workout, also you should do push-ups using the same method and vary with hand placement distance. It will take some time to see results, they won't be immediate. Once you're doing like 35-50, you should start to see a change. Try getting to be able to do the same amount of push-ups as crunches. Once you have significant change, don't stop, it will keep you healthy and in good shape.

Do what are called "seal situps" a specialist in the army...and I find that this excersize does the trick. lay flat on your back, with your feel laying forward (toes up) and arms stretched straight back past your head. From there you will sit up with your body and meed your fingers with your feet, and then proceed to go down, and repeat. Also....this excersize works, even though you dont feel much of a burn. Goodluck

My husband is trying to do the same thing.... He has consulted a personal trainer who has suggested walking up a very steep hill for approx 50mins 3-5 days a week, this is the hardest part of the body to tone. You will need to continue to push yourself but continue to WALK WALK WALK
good luck

DIET!!! Watch what you take into your body, eat healthy foods, etc salads, chicken, protein shakes light on the carbs. Do a lot of crunches and walking. The main thing is your diet, lay off the soda's and drink plenty of water!!

Dude I'm trying to tell you exactly what to do man, I have an 8-pack, and I'm in like a really nice physical condition. Just do situps. Crunshes help, but do lots and lots and lots and lots of sit-ups. It's going to take a while, but it'll show! You have to do alot of them, and about everyday for a while, and I promise you'll see results!

run! run! run! the heaviest muscles in your body are your leg muscles, so when you run, your abs are constantly flexing and stretching as you run. Also, running is amazing cardio.
I run two miles a day, and really don't diet or do other exersize (once in a blue moon i'll do pilates) but running has done my body goooood!!! and i have a ton of energy all the time.

workout, drink plenty of water and eat healthy.
do sit ups to flatten and tone your abs and cardio to keep you in overall good shape... Drink plenty of water for hydration and eat healthy. Don't deprive yourself, you can treat yourself once in a while, but don't overdo it.
As for the time it will take. It varies greatly from person to person.
