I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin. I've tried hair removal creams, they break me out in a rash. When I shave, no matter how careful, or what type of razor and/or cream I use, I always get razor burn, especially around the bikini area. Any suggestions for a good at home wax kit, or would it be better to go to a professional?

Nair made a new product for sensative skin...it's in a blue box at walmart...also if you must wax, go to a professional to save time, money, and pain.

There are plenty of great home waxing kits available on the market but if you are new to waxing I would recommend going to a professional. First of all, you will know how your skin will react to a professional wax job (not just the botch job you did at home lol). You will also be able to watch her technique. It will be much easier to replicate that than to try to follow the tiny diagrams in the pamphlet that comes with a wax kit. Good luck!

I am EXACTLY like you, the waxing kit at home defintely burned my skin and left a red burn on my skin for like 3 weeks. Def not doing that again! If U do go to the professionals maybe u can ask them about it and tell them about ur sensitive skin, try hair removal cream for sensitive skin. good luckk!

i would suggest going to a realy good professional. i have been waxing myself and there are just some places you cant reach ie the back of your calf muscles and your thighs, also if u do it yourself you will more than likely end up with blood blisters behind your knees... just tell the professional that you have really sensitive skin and they will probably have a special wax for every different skin type.

Go to a professional you will get the best results but warn them of your sensitivity because there is wax for delicate skin.

i have my own at home wax kit
and what i do is,
before i wax,
all i do is just put baby powder on the part i'm about to wax
for some reason, when i do that it hurts alot less when i wax
then, i wax whatever part
then put baby oil on it.
and if a part turns red,
i have this cold cream that takes away the redness
and irritation and stuff.
i learned all of this from my salon lady.

I have been waxing myself. But the professionals are cheap and seem to do the best job.
