Yes, All mammals have umbilical cords. If a dog has four puppies, there will be four umbilical cords. Each puppy emerges in its own placental membrane, or sac, which must be removed before the puppy can breathe. The mother usually takes care of this by tearing off (and sometimes eating) the membrane, and then severs the umbilical cord. After delivery, she will lick each puppy to stimulate its breathing.

YUP YUP :D Dogs are mammals right? If they're NOT mammals they wouldn't have umbilical cords... umbilical cords connect to the mother.. When the mom eats, the baby eats too!

YEAH ITS GROSS WHEN THEY ARE BORN B/C MOM DOG EATS THE UMBILICAL CORD AND SACK WHEN THEY ARE BORN. ITS LIKE THEY SLURP IT UP. SOOOOO GROSS. BUT AFTER A FEW DAYS THE STUMP FALLS OFF THE PUP AND THEY HAVE A BELLY BUTTON WHERE THE STUMP WAS.

yep yep just like human babies they are still attached when they come out the momma dog will chew them off though and the rest will dry and fall off a few days later ♥ good luck

Of course they do just like humans they feed through them. Also when born still have them attached
