you may tell them that alcohol makes age lines set in at a very early age. This is true. It does not make you an adult and it makes you stupid. You aren't aware that it is dumb while you are drinking, but just stop drinking and watch the people who are. You will see what I mean. I quit drinking and tried to hang around the same people I was friends with, but as soon as they found out I was serious about quitting, they were no longer my friends. I had to give them all up and make friends with people who don't drink. It can kill you, eat your liver and it is just not worth it. Attend an AA meeting and just set and listen. This will be a great enlightenment for you, if you have the guts to attend.

At this age you feel the need to be accepted by your peers. Let me tell you about my perspective as you are going to do what you feel is right no matter what anyone else says.
Growing up I personally did not care alot about the opinions of others. I had my group of friends and did not feel the need to have wide spread acceptance.
I first became a cop in the area where I grew up. In school I was friends with most all of the so called "cool crowd" as my older brothers were very popular football stars. So most of the peers in my age group always wanted to associate with me to get to hang around my older brothers at parties, etc.
So being a cop and knowing all these "cool kids" put me an an awkward spot when as a police officer it was these same kids always getting into trouble. Developing alcohol problems at an early age from binge drinking led alot of them to experiment with drugs.
It was kinda of weird to have to be in a position of deciding what to do when you had an old friend from school on a traffic stop and catching them either driving drunk or in possesion of drugs.
I always did the right thing and made the arrests. But it sucks to be locking up a friend on a charge you know is going to send them to prison.
From the outside looking in it is easy for me to tell you what to do. But I remember being a teen and know that you'll do what you think is right for you no matter what anyone else says. So good luck

i think of that's a foul theory to allow the teenage travelers to drink, regardless of mum and dad present. opposite to what yet another poster suggested, it incredibly is no longer the venue's duty to oversee legalities of alcoholic intake; it incredibly is the host's. If somebody beverages too lots (particularly an underage individual) and gets into an twist of destiny the place different persons are harm or killed, the hosts of the celebration are held legally dependable. i could desire the mummy and dad of those underage travelers could in no way enable them to get at the back of the wheel after eating, yet that's beside the element. you merely do no longer desire to run the possibility, and consequently could circumvent it altogether. as far because of the fact the bride is going, i'm unsure. verify the state regulations to be certain if there is an exception for an below 21-y.o. bride on her wedding ceremony day.

"Aw, man, I wish I could - but I'm taking these new meds and they can't be mixed with alcohol. I tried before, and I felt like I was going to die."

"No thanks. Last time I was over soandso's house, I got really messed up and trashed her room - so I'm taking it easy for a while."

"Are you kidding? My mom caught me last time, and she swore she'd kick me out if she caught me again."

"No, I haven't really eaten anything today. I'd get way too messed up if I drank now."

"Ew, all you have is -insertbrandnamehere-? I hate that stuff. It tastes nasty. Call me when you get something better than that crap."

Your friends sound like something out of a cheesy movie - my friends never got mad at me or made me feel like I was uncool if I didn't want to drink with them. They were happy because they didn't have to share the goods as much.

Your friends are the ones who sound like losers.
Find new friends. They are going nowhere.

Why not just get new friends?

Seems to me that you know they are the losers.

Just say no and find other friends to hang out with. These ones will eventually get you into trouble.

Tell them you wish you could have some, but you get a terrible allergic reaxtion to drinking alcohol, and it makes you puke. That should be a reasonable answer...

Don't worry about being a loser to them. They are wrong and what they are doing is wrong. You are the smart one.
