Yes it is possible that you are allergic to any shampoo. The body can take a lot. Just look at all the garbage people eat everyday and they are walking and talking like they were healthy.
Commercial shampoos contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate that is a surfactant that breaks the surface tension of water and causes the solution to suds. This chemical also opens the poors and allows the other chemicals to enter the body easily. It's in toothpaste as well. This chemical is what allows allergens to enter the body easily. Hydrated Silica is sand to allow the surface of what you are washing to be abraded to allow the chemicals to enter the skin or hair.
The second issue is that you are probably nutrient deficient leaving your body susceptible to toxins and when these toxins enter your body, things like histamines are released creating the allergic reaction.
One way to demonstrate this is to find a baby that has cradle cap. Give the baby a couple teaspoons of "pink sea salt" each day in their food. In about 5 days, the cradle cap will be gone. This is because the nutrients in pink sea salt nourish the body and bingo, no more cradle cap.
I never use dandruff shampoo and I do not have dandruff.
If you eat the typical American diet, you will get colds, the flu, allergies and eventually degenerative diseases. If you follow the doctors advice, take a multivitamin every day, eat fast food, get flu shots, and choose food to eat by it's taste rather than for it's nutritional value, eat synthetic vitamins, you will continue to get allergies. All I can say is good luck.
If you want to get rid of the allergies, you will change to eating organic food, get rid of all colas including the diet ones that will not cause you to lose weight, get rid of the caffeine, eliminate all foods with SOY in them, eliminate all Canola oils and foods that contain them. Do not get Flu shots! It is the most ridiculous insanity put on modern man. Eliminate all shots because they just violate the sanctity of human blood.
Oh yes, and I would suggest you buy a good shampoo from the health food store, but make sure it doesn't contain any of the above ingredients.

Do you have allergies to pollen, flowers ,perfumes, dyes etc for in a lot of shampoos you have those ingredients. If you have no allergies other than the shampoo then check the ingrdients and switch to shampoo that has different but if you are buying grocery or drug store then some of the ingrdients will be found in just about all of them. Go to a HEALTH Food Store and tell the store clerk of your problem for will help you find a much purer shampoo that has no Fragrance,no flower oils or essence, dyes a and so on.It is very possible to be allergic to the shampoo (s) you aare using for shampoos contain fragrance, dyes, petroleum(yes petroleum and why i recommend the ones found at Health Food stores for more pure) preservatives and many other things. One other cause of itching is product buildup from the shampoos, conditioners, hairsprays etc-whatever you use on your hair-you must rinse completely the shampoo and /or conditioner out of your hair for if not can cause itching. Why use more than one shampoo-once you find a shampoo at the health food store that works with no itching stick to it. NEVER use a shampoo that also has conditioner in it and no need to use dandruff unless you have. Also use a Clarifying shampoo-will say so on the bottle that it gets rid of all buildup from the hair and then use the health food shampoo. If you have dandruff it is NOT dry scalp skin as once thought but actually a virus that one can keep in check but very difficult to get rid of. From the Health Food Store get some BROWN Vinegar(the white will NOT work as well) in a 1/2cup of lukewarm water miz in 2Tablespoons of the Vinegar pour on the scalp and saturate the hair being sure to soak all the scalp including back of ears and leave on. Do this daily until the dandruff is completelyu gone .The Vinegar smell will go away in 5-10minutes but the vinegar kills anything related/caused by a Virus and Bacteria and it works for it did away with my dandruff problem. It also makes your hair soft and shiny and puts moisture back into the hair and the scalp. The brown vinegar has minerals etc in it that give you healthy skin and hair. A psychosis is a delusion that you only think your head itches. and since the nurse is not a Psychiatrist should not be making that kind of diagnosis.

If you have used many shampoos and they all have the same reaction, it is probably not a shampoo allergy. Psoriasis is a possibility.
You don't mention a conditioner. I find that if I only use shampoo, my scalp gets greasy very quickly, using a conditioner helped that.
I use T/Gel shampoo (coal tar) which works nicely and also smells divine.
If you have a dry scalp, overwashing is a bad idea. Try washing your hair less often and see if it helps.
Since you are of school age, it may well be hormonal. If so, time will clear it up.

This happened to me over and over again until I looked for
common ingredients in the shampoos I'd beeen using.
They all had lavender which made my head itch and break
out in blisters. You can get an allergy test for many common
ingredients in shampoo. It may be that you're only allergic
to one thing and can find another brand to use. Even the
organic "natural' ones contain herbs, flowers and other
scents that could be causing the reaction.

Have you tried an all natural shampoo like Sukesha or All-nutrient? You may be allergic to the chemicals in regular shampoo, and these two don't have any.
Something else...have you been checked for head lice? Try Rid, you can buy it over the counter.

quite. Why the bathtub? eliminate fleas? airborne dirt and mud? attempt a a lot milder shampoo the subsequent time and rinse thoroughly. i come upon people shampoos a lot milder, then get the mildest of them. Rinse the canines in lukewarm to chilly water to ease the floor inflammation. warmth to warm water will make irritations worse. use conditioner and/or creams. Towel dry to get creams into epidermis and get oil glands transferring again. If fleas were the reason of the shampooing, then flea bites can go away irritations, that you will be able to make certain. Rinse canines in chilly water and rub in Lanacaine. solid stuff.

You could be allergic, the only real way to know is to get tested. If you scratch until you bleed, you could cause a serious infection that would be far worse than a stick with a needle.

It's usually the fragrance you are allergic to. Are you rinsing really, really well? You may need to see a doctor or ask a pharmacist if there's a shampoo for sensitive scalp they can recommend.

Yup, but it's not the actual shampoo you'd be allergic to, it would be the ingredients in it. See your doctor and get some allergy tests done. Once you know what you're allergic to, you can avoid shampoos that have the ingredient in them.

You might have to use something called "NS Wash" that has no actual soap in it.
Alternativley there's a type of shampoo for some skin conditions called "Neutrogena T/Gel" - smells really bad but works.
