I always thought that if you are female and are apostolic, then you mustn't
-cut/trim your hair
-paint your nails/get them done
-wear jeans
-wear shorts
-wear makeup

..but i know someone who goes tanning and has gotten her nails done..and she is clearly apostolic..

just curious..

: )

i never said that if your apostolic, then you cant or shouldnt look like a female..and the reason why i thought that is bc someone i know is apostolic and freaks out about wearing makeup/cutting hair/shorts..all that..but then a few months later shes getting her hair cut/nails done/and taning..

I'm Apostolic and I don't do any of these things. Being clean or well kept does not have to be professionaly done. I do my own nails, I have never had them done, and I don't tan. I know women in my congregation that does, but its not for me.

Why do you think that? I think there is a line between modesty and immodesty, but you are still allowed to look clean and well kept. Just because you look like a female doesn't mean you aren't apostolic.

They just shouldn't do things out of the "norm" for the culture to try to get attention. Good grooming is always nice.
