Just got one yesterday.
I paid $37k for mine - Double cab SR5,4x4 with the 381HP 401 lb ft 5.7L V8 engine (and lots of add ons).
It's the fastest truck I have driven - just traded my 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 for the Tundra and I love it!.
This truck with the 5.7L engine will run 0-60 in a little over 6 seconds. It's faster than a lot of family sedans (and so called sports cars) such as the 2005 Chevy Cobalt SS or 2006 Civic Si to 60mph.
As far as the commercials - I heard they were real.

Those commercials are not fake!! Yes they use a professional driver on a closed course and the small print says do not try this at home!! The new Tundra is a beast. It goes 0-60-0 with a full load faster than any other truck out there. It does it all faster than an F-150 gets to 60mph. Its also a sweet ride, with some really cool features! Check out Toyota.com and view the Tundra experince site. Its really cool. Prices are from$20k to $42k. Good Luck!!

well i do not own a toyota truck but i work on trucks and drve a dodge diesel which i can tell you is more powerful than that truck and yes that comercial is fake. if they did make it like the fine print says it was with a truck that has been upgraded. oh and at the end where they say the brakes are so awesome why does it show the brkes locking up stoping the loa. the truck comes stock with 4 wheel antilock brakes which make it impossible for them to lock up. unless of course the truck hs been modified. don't get me wrong if i didn't want a diesel truck i would probably get a toyota they are good trucks to expensive but good trucks.

I didnt word there became no volume 9. I not in any respect cherished the volume 9 annyway. i have in basic terms felt sorry for him because seven ate him. My math instructor continuously says that and laughs at hiself. six is fearful of seven because seven 8 (ate) 9.. I in basic terms wanna scream "we've all heard that a million situations and 999,999 we heard from you!" I wont list his call beacuse mabey he concept he became humorous.
