Is there a bible before the King James version that is viewable? Is it translated into english? on the internet anywhere?

Latin Vulgate, but not sure if it's still available. And it's in Latin. (Vulgar meant common in Latin, it was translated for the common people). Of course, you could look for a diaglott, that shows the original Greek New Testament and its literal translation.

I think the King James Version was the first one printed on the Gutenberg (sp?) press from German to English, and that it was in fact the first version of the Bible printed in English.

He was the first to make an English translation of the Bible.

The GERMAN Bible!

It is, for all practical purposes a KJV but in the German language.
