She is fixed, she is 7 years old, she is perfectly healthy, she is getting a little fatter than usual. She wants to go outside (its like 15 degress out there) and we let her so she can feel how cold it is then she comes right back in. She still meows constantly like she wants to go out and she forgot how cold it is. She is not hungry. I give her lots of attention. What is it? Cabin Fever?

your cat is talking to you. she couldf be telling you something abot th ehouse, or something about outdoors, or whatever--i do not undrstand kitty tslk, buty i know they talk to their famly members, of which you are one.
she could be telling ypu she has a friend somewhere. she could be telling you she wants more water.she could be telling you her world is all messed up and you didnot fix it yet--------cats are very rigid--intolerant of change----tell her you know it is miserable out there--tell her you agree with her--see what she does........

i had a kitty meow insistantly until i coME OVER TO WHERE - oops- he was howling and looking--there was a huge bug in the room--he was not silent until i got rid of the bug. find out what kitty is saying--is she insistant?? is she pointing at something when she talks??
is she just being social????? you are her family--find out her message!!! maybe its because there is a friend of hers somewhere close by--maybe it is nothing--but she is trying to say something to you--should no tbe difficult to figger out what she is trying to say.
i look after a kitty who bitches me out every time i go over to her place to feed her--i think it is because i am not her daddy--i am her neighbor/momms.........
enjoy kitty!

You're very smart. Some days my cat will do the same. They so much want to go out, but these past few weeks I am certain they feel the cold too. Therefore, a few minutes outside, they want in again. Even I am getting cabin in this cold spell. I am certain that as soon as the weather warms up a bit and they can stay out for longer periods, normalcy will again prevail.

If she is fixed then she isn't in heat, some cats are just noisy, I had a cat which was a stray and I brought her into my apt. She meowed a lot for no reason just wanted to be heard. If she is an out door cat, then maybe she wants to go out. My cat would stretch up trying to reach the door nob if he wanted out, he is long gone now, still miss him. Now I have an indoor female cat, never goes out unless its to the vet , shes very quite hardly ever meows. only when i talk to her, guess she's trying to anwer. take her to the vet just to be sure there's nothing medically wrong & for your peace of mind.

Try wearing him out by interactively playing with him 30-60 min. a night before bed. It may or may not curb it, he may just be talkative(like some people are). Maybe another kitten is the answer. That kitten will preoccupy his time and he won't be meowing around looking for companionship on his nocturnal schedule. hope this works, I really do

Cats have the need to explore cause they are hella nosey. Let her go outside!!! They can only be cooped up in the house for so long before they go bonkers...

You can make sure that she is ok by buying a runner so that her urge to be outside is catered to, but your feel for her security of her safety is met also. Runners allow dogs and cats to be outside, but not ouside if you catch my drift. Runners limit how far pets can go outisde because they are in a huge net. There is plenty of room for her to run back and forth...

Or, you can do what I did with my cat and put her on a leash and let her get to know the neighborhood. That is easy...

GOOD LUCK!

She sound like my cat: fat, and meows a lot. She probably really wants attention, and probably saw a bird or 2 out in your yard.

Cats (especially females) can be very annoying that way. Sounds as though she does indeed have cabin fever and expects you to put her world right again :<)

She's probably disappointed that it's too cold to go outside. Just give her a little extra attention, she'll be okay.

when my 10 year old spayed calico does that, it is usually and indication that it is play time. We play tag and hide and seek until she gets bored or distracted. Sometimes she needs to run around the house to um, loosen her bowels....

maybe because she wants actual attention . try petting her after your activities and make sure she has some water . after that she should be ok and also keep her from the heat

P.S. do that for at least 4 days
