That is precisely why I think it's important to dress up for church on Sunday mornings, because even though we're still on earth, spiritually we are going to see the King and worship Him. We might as well get used to it. I don't think anyone is going to be wearing jeans in heaven. Even the most simple gown will probably be more beautiful than anything any royalty has ever worn here on earth.

I had not thought of heaven like this, how cool.
I had pictured heaven totally boring modern like - reflecting a modern dress code/machine assisted mentality of 2007, with an American aspect to decor (being an American). (Or actually just being part of GOD in true form, whatever that is - light?)
Isn't all heavenly pictures and thought based in the time period of the thinker/artist?
Now I have to rethink everything I thought of ...pomp...
interesting.
So hollywood/authors/artists have it wrong again? Angels don't sit around LA in black trench coats watching us? Ladders gave way to escalators, which gave way to elevators, to a more modern expression of getting to the Pearly gates. (A comedian asked why is heaven gated, what part of existence is it in, sorry, I just remembered that.) Or like "Angels in the Outfield" helping out when they can (both original and modern remake interesting look at an Angels day.)

Are you crazy? wait, you believe in God, of course you are,
I know your bible says in john 3 or 4 "mansions for you in heaven" or whatever,
did you see indiana jones 3? no of course you didn't, your like what some 40 year old church mother
ok look, your image of heaven is wrong, there isn't any pomp, its very plain and without the appearance of oppulance,
forget it im an atheist, delusions of your heaven await you and im just a pawn of satan
