The human body needs fats to function properly - essential fatty acids grease the works for comfort and are crucial for the digestion and hormonal systems and so much more.

Olive oil is an excellent source of essential fatty acids, and you can use it on your skin as well as in your diet. Olive oil can be absorbed through the skin to soothe your internal organs (like the adrenal glands, just below the ribs on the back) and will make your skin feel soft and comfortable.

Please be sure to stay away from trans fats (hydrogenated oils, etc.) but get plenty of olive oil in your system.

Peace!

Olive oil is good for you. Actually olive oil or canola oil would be a good choice. Olive oil comes in extra virgin which is the first cold press of the oil and has the strongest flavor- its also great for salads and such. Olive oil also comes in a milder flavor. Canola oil is often used when one doesn't want that olive oil taste. Thy both have monounsaturated fat which is the healthiest form of fat. Its still high in calories- 9kcal/gram to be exact so use in moderation.

It is unsafe to not have any fat in your diet. Keep it to 20 grams of fat if you must limit, but don't go below. Olive oil is a great option. Fat is not only insulation, it's protection of our organs, and energy or fuel.

No fat at all. You'll get enough incidentally, unless you have a very strict diet.
