So being poor makes you a bad parent?? I think God gives married couples as many children as He thinks they can take care of. I've seen some really amazing parents who are "poor" and some really lousy parents who are rich. Money does not make you a good parent.

We are told to be fruitful and that we should be. But we can use Natural Family Planning or just abstaine when needed to help with the number of children, though only if you have true reasons for using NFP.
Though I don't have children of my own, I can truly say that the families I see with eight or more children are always happy, polite and though they don't have everything they ever wanted, they are full of love for each other.
If it means I must be poor and have a large family to achieve that same level of love and happiness, then I will trade any amount of money in for it.

I think God wants people to use a little disgression when it comes to children and space them accordingly using natural family planning or just plain abstinance. There is nothing written in the Bible that says you must jump in the sack everytime you turn around.

People can have whatever size families they wish. And if they have enough faith God will help them. Out of all the stories I read God never left faithful people to starve to death.
