Most people book their rooms months prior to Mardi Gras, so you may have trouble finding one in the French Quarter or Business District. If you do find one there, I promise it won't be cheap (expect nothing less than $200 a night). If you are interested in a bed and breakfeast, you may be able to find something on www.bbnola.com. Staying in a room on West Bank, Metarie, or even Covington may be your only options.

Oh, and you might want to bring clothes to wear for warm weather and also clothes to wear for cold weather. You never know what to expect the weather to be like in Louisiana. It changes without warning.

Be sure to check out mardigras.com. Everything you could ever want to know about Mardi Gras is on that website.

Stay in Mandeville or Covington... it is across the causeway bridge and it is a small town with cheap hotels and plenty of openings... it is about a 25 minute drive across the bridge to NO.... Hope that helps
