because he's there life saver! he provides all your needs when you have faith and trust in him. he fills the empty gap in you soul.He takes away your sins and takes you to heaven with him when your life is over, he wants you to come to him he really whispers in your ear. And this is an absolutely free gift!!! people don't realize how much they NEED him. Sometimes when i'm in pain and he takes it away i wonder how people live without him and suffer the same pains
CHRISTIANS ARE DIFFERENT THEN WHAT NON-CHRISTIANS THINK!! They think you HAVE to be different and can't have fun - NOT TRUE

I will tell you why I think people do not want to give their lives to the lord. We are all born sinners it's in us. We don't want to give up the worldly ways and a lot of people like missary. God gives us freewill and people take advantage of that. It's hard living the rightouse path but we must do it, I mean come on Jesus gave his life for us to have etarnel life with him what sounds better live for today or have everlasting life in love and peace. We are born stuburn I lived it I have been there and I think God every day that I live it no more and that I live in his love and he is here to guide me when once apon a time in my life I had no guidance. Thank you Jesus.Sorry for the spelling I am sure I did not spell a lot of things right but I pray you got the message.

I am a Muslim and I love Jesus may peace and blessings be upon him very much and believe he was sent in order to guide people to the straight path just like the prophets before him my allegiance is with god and I was born sinless we are going to be held accountable for what we ourselves do and we all sin and should always ask god for forgiveness not Jesus may peace be upon him if you worship Jesus then ask him and on the day of judgment he will tell you go to god. god is one and he has no partners

Becuase not every person in this wide world agree that there is such person so why would they give there life to someone whom they do not believe exsists ....
People also have the right to something we all have called free will and there fore it is a choice not a law ... or a half to. Choices means you can or you cant dose not mean every time will be a can sorry ...

I was given a life to live as I see fit. Why should I give it away to anyone? I have gotten to the point where I even work for myself, simply because my life belongs to me and i want to be in charge of every moment of it.
I do not think that Jesus wants us to devote our lives to him. I think he wanted us to embrace and understand our own divinity, as he had his. I think Jesus was set apart as an example of a fine human, not as a master over anyone.
Peace!

We're not all of your religion. Get that through your head. Nor do we want any of your traditions. I know it's hard, but try to accept it. J D is totally right. You want the long answer for why I won't accept J*sus as the son of a god? Email me, it's long. Short answer--he's not who you believe he is.

All people have free will, and many have chosen a different path than those that chose to take the path that Jesus laid out. Different is not wrong, just different.

are you asking why i dont want to give my life to a person who has been dead for about 2000 years? for the fun and stupid answer: because if i did, i wouldnt be alive anymore. and now for the real answer, because i dont believe in god i dont believe he was the "son of god". he was a very influential man but a man none-the-less.

Because Jesus is not the son of God and Christianity is the most ignorant, intolerant, and hypocritical of all religions.
I will never go back.
