I'm a guy whose 16 and I have a very close female friend. The problem is that I feel like I'm starting to love her and as young as my age is I really think I like her. I already talked with her about it and she seemed pretty cool with it, except she doens't like me back. Then I tried to get over it and stop liking her, but it wouldn't stop. My feelings for her continued to grow. She says maybe we'll be able to go out when we're senior but I don't know if I can wait that long. What should I do? Should I just try and really forget about her? I don't know if I can stay as friends because it hurts me so much whenever I'm with her as a friend.

Don't wait. If this girl doesn't like you by the time you're seniors, then it'll be a waste. It's hard to stay friends with someone you really like because what happens is that your emotions get mixed signals and it's hard to just cope with that. You're really young. I was 16 when i first had a boyfriend and he was my first and only everything. He's my first love, but we broke up after 2 years because we were both scared and we're young. So if anything, play around a little bit because sometimes its just not the best to wait around for something that isn't going to go your way. never expect the expected, only the unexpected. =) you'll always have a solution to a problem. it's life.

tell her about it again and if she says she doesnt feel the same way towards you again then just let her know that it hurts to be friends with her since your feelings grow deeper. dont stop being friends with her just dont talk to her as much but let her know that you'll always be there for her if she ever needs anything.
