I want to meet my ex's new gf because he leaves my son alone with her.. He said it is not my right to approve his life, but I feel I have the right to know who my son is with. I suggested going to mediation, but he refuses that also. Is my request really that ludacris?

not at all ... and if he wants to be a dick then simply file a complaint with HRS and let them ask the questions directly if he doesn't want to cooperate

Hi Monica, I don't know what the laws are concerning this issue, but I strongly feel that it's absolutely your right to know who your child is with. Especially being left alone with! As a matter of fact, it's not only your right, it's your responsibility! Go to your phone book, or on line and find a " lawyers hot line", or something like that, where you can get free advice regarding the laws on this issue. If you have your own lawyer, call him/her. Your ex's defiance is a red flag. I'd be pissed too! Good Luck!

If you have shared custody with your ex, Yes it is your business who your son is left with!It doesn't matter if your ex wants to go to mediation or not, file the paperwork and he'll have to go to mediation! If you don't want her watching your child, that is your right as his mother.Your ex will have to make other arrangements or bring her into mediation also.NO IT'S NOT LUDACRIS! It's part of your responsibility as his mother, to make sure the caregiver is qualified to be taking care of your son!

Oh hell to the nah. Girl u don't know if she is a stripper or a drugie and it's gotta be a reason he won't allow u 2 meet her regardless of the two of you all's relationship. Tell him he won't get to see his son until u meet the woman he is currently involved with. It may sound a little mean but u have to stand up not only for yourself but your son. ESPECIALLY if he is not old enough to talk yet.

NO WAY!!!! You have every right to meet and approve of the people your child is being left with... OMG. You need to either make him see the big picture or call Social Services to see what your other options are.

No! You have a right to know exactly where your son is at all times! You are his mother and tell your ex!

No, your request is reasonable because you have right to see if the enviroment is proper for your child and you don't know if she is a good figure for your child. No, you're right!!!! It is not about aproving his life, it is about aproving the woman who takes care of your child when you are not there.

I'd say so.
your days of controlling him are long over. he has a right to do as he wishes and do not use your son to demand anything.
if your son is cared for stop complaining and be grateful that things are going smoothly.

..absolutely not...the child is to be with him...not his "babysitter"...and if the child is supposed to be with him?...why is he leaving the child with his gf ?...
...put a stop to this...or she will be raising your kid....you have a right to know what/where your kid is and who he/she is with......
