Since the demise of the International (due to a lack of sponsorship) do you think the Canadian Open one of the oldest tounaments in history be able to survive a tounament date right after the Brtish Open in July. Is the Fed Ex Cup realignment to blame or the Commish?

it will survive for a few more years and then kick off. it has never really had that many GREAT players at the tournament because of its place on the schedule being in september.

My scurrilous and faithless former Canadian husband explained to me that it was named for the old ritual of putting food in boxes to take to the poor - the date 'floats' somehow, usually falling on the day after Christmas. He was [is] brilliant and beautiful and probably a valid source on this.
