It means two things:
A. You shouldn't ask a girl if she likes you because that tells the girl that you are insecure and girls don't like insecure boys, and
B. I am assuming this was a online conversation because of the 'lol'. Take her on a freaking date and find out if she likes you the old fashioned way!

Not necessarilly a complete failure.
A "NO" is could be a test on you, perhaps she is seeing if you are willing to give up so easily, a woman likes when a guy shows some determination and sincerity.
Dating is a game and women know more than we are led to beleive.
If NO happens a second time, then know you did your best and move on.

If she said no and laughed but still hangs out or talks to you then she probably does and was just nervous when you asked her especially if you did not tell her you liked her before you asked. If you guys never hang out or talk and she said no then it probably just means no.

when you say "no LOL" it means you are asking her online right?
if thats correct. I think thats lame. Ask her face to face, then you wouldnt have to try to read her emotions, through a computer screen.

either she doesn't or she is not going to admit it, either way you asked her the wrong way. Youre supposed to ask someone if they want to go somewhere with you and then tell them how much you like them and then you will see how they really feel, its all about you putting your feelings on the line for someone else.
