I'm just wondering how big other ppls 18month olds are. My daughter went for her checkup yesterday and I'm just wanting to compare size to see if she is average even though she was premature. Thanks.

The average is 24.5 lbs and between 20lbs and 29lbs is considered normal according to the CDC growth charts http://www.cdc.gov/growthcharts/

My daughter was 5 weeks early and weighed 5lbs 15oz and was only 17 1/2 inches long She is now almost 17mos and weighs 25lbs and is 32 inches tall. The doctor says she is a little tall but is right on with her weight. I would not worry what other ppl think. If your doc says she is doing good then dont fret. :-)

My daughter is 26.5lbs and 30" tall. She's a little small for her age, but within a normal range. My friends 18 month old is 32" and 30lbs.

The doctor should have already given you an average. They check skull size, height, weight, etc. If the doctor didn't provide that for you, then you need to find out why.

Mine is 33 inches tall and 27 pounds at 19 months. Check out babycenter.com ... you can punch in your child's numbers and it will tell you what percentage they fall into. Mine is 75th percentile meaning that he is taller and heavier than 75 % of kids at that age.

My daughter's only 17 months, but probably around 34lbs. I still breastfeed and she was 9lb 9oz when she was born. N before ne one says anything no i don't over feed her. She hardly even eats table food or junk.

At that age she was only around 20 pounds. My daughter was 6.5 at birth

I would listen to the pediatrician and not to other people when it comes to health and size, expecially with a premee
