I dunno know about dogs eating A&D, but I'm a nurse and several of my Alzheimer's patients have eaten substantial amounts of A&D at one time or another and none have had any serious problems from it. It gets used in nursing homes a great deal because it is not toxic if accidentaly injested. It's basically just vaseline with a couple of vitamins thrown in for whatever reason--it doesn't contain zinc and it passes through the digestive tract without incident except for occasional diarrhea. There is a slight danger that if vomited A&D is inhaled it could cause an aspiration pneumonia, but I've never known of this to happen in humans. Frankly, I've never heard of a dog developing aspiration pneumonia, come to think of it.
Give your vet a call if you're worried, but I don't think that eating A&D is a cause for great alarm. Very likely at worst it will give your dog the scoots.

If its the variety that has zinc in it, it can be toxic depending on how much your dog weighs. Try calling your local ER vet hospital for a doseage or ASPCA poison control - 888-426-4435.

You want her to vomit, so it will get out of her body quickly. Call an emergency vet for an appointment and advice in the meantime.

Why are you wasting time on the internet? Don't you have a veterian in your town? You should have called them immediately! They could tell you what to do. They don't charge to ask them a question. Hope your dog will be ok.
