sounds like a virus as long as its clear i wouldn't worry you need to get him to the vet so the vet can give him a antiviral shot the shot doesn't cost that much.

Is he an out side dog? has he gotten into any anti freeze or poison stuff? He needs to be evaluated by a vet as soon as possible. He may already be starting to dehydrate with no food, and water not staying down. why have u waited so long? Did u call an emergency vet to get some answers on bringing him in. when an animal stops eating they are sick believe me.He needs fluids now. He could have something lodged inside take him in. dont wait another day

He might have a hernia. This would explain his not eating but still drinking water as it may be able to pass through more easily. This is also likely if he had one as a puppy seeing as years later it can tear again. Feel under his belly and diaphragm for any weird lumps but be careful as it may hurt him. It's possible that he's had a hernia for a while that's gone unnoticed that is only now having problems so if you've felt any odd lumps before, that could be the case. If he does have a hernia, untreated, he could die.
Another possibility is if he's swallowed something that's gotten stuck in his throat in which case he may be unable to eat but be drinking the water to try to get it down.
Whichever the case is it'd be best to get him to a vet as soon as possible. Good luck.

My dog went through this - and low and behold she was going through a diabetic shock! Get your dog to the vet immediately - don't wait!!! I had no idea that my dog had developed diabetes and if I had waited any longer she would not have lived. She's been on insulin now for 5 years with no problems at all.

That poor baby needs to go to the vet.... Take him in as soon as possible. Does he eat stuff he's not supposed to ? It could be a blockage. Or he could just be sick in some other way. The only way to know for sure is to take hime to the vet! Don't wait...do it.

Ever heard of a vet? You should know if you have read any of the answers on here that most responses should be taken with a least a pinch of salt. I wouldn't risk my dogs' lives.

Usually a disease strikes a dog long before the owner see the symptems appear, b/c animals can not tell u they feel bad verbally. So you should take it to a pet clinic quick.

That is very bad. Dogs can die very quickly if they throw up for a few days. They are not like cats that way. He needs to see a vet very soon!
