I've been dating a guy for two weeks, and he's invited me to see his band play tonight. Is it acceptable for me to bring a friend along? I don't want to be sitting by myself when he plays, and nor do I want to be making awkward conversations with his own friends/band member's significant others! But will he feel awkward meeting my friend so soon? She'll be there for moral support to me, not to size him up.

My friend's just cancelled on me and I can't get a replacement for tonight - so I'm going solo after all. Damn! :-(

I think its fine to bring a friend to the show...since it's not actually a "date". Maybe you all and some of his friends can all hang out together after the show. I know if it were me I would feel more comfortable in your situation if I had someone with me. Plus its good to know how your guy will get along with your friends, and you with his. That can tell you a lot about a person! Have fun!!!

Since most bands play at night in some kind of a club, it is appropriate for you to bring a friend along just so you don't get hit on. Tell him in advance that you don't feel secure sitting by yourself in this situation and that you will be bringing a female friend along for company.

he's in a band... and he's performing.. and a band needs an audience.. so there's absolutely no harm in bringing ur fren.. or better still, bring even more frenz.. coz the more the merrier!! i mean look at the situation.. its like a concert right! and i think he'll be even more pleased that u can bring others who wil give him support and if he got talent, ur frenz wil be pretty impressed by him.. its neva too soon to get to noe ur partner's frenz or family.. in fact, da more frenz of his u noe.. it's more 'official' that both of u are a couple.. and aint that awesome? however, do tell him dat u're bringing some frenz along to cheer for him and his bandmates.. and u gotta make sure that u muz talk to his frens as well coz that's wat a girlfriend shud do.. make him proud of u darl..

Talk to him about it and get his feedback. I wouldnt do anything thats going to cause a conflict. Unless you feel if he reacts poorly this my not be the guy you were looking for or hoping for. Your call.
