Well he says that his skin tickels so I am wondering if maybe his skin feels like it's crawling because sometimes with med. that happens.He has become upsest with it, he picks his face until it bleeds now he picks every scab on his body. He never did this before until he started wearing the patch.I took him to his doctor and he looked at his face and ear because he picks at that to thats where all of this started. He tells me its a habit I was ok thinking to myself why all of a sudden. Can any one help me. I don't want to keep him on this med. if he continues to do this plus he has not been eating has lost weight. I not that is a side effect but about this whole skin thing I just don't know.

If it were me, I'd call the doctor and tell him you're taking your son off that med. Tell him you know that's what is causing his discomfort. Give it a chance to get out of his system.

You need to decide what is best for your child. Here is some info on the drug from MedlinePlus.

* chest pain
* shortness of breath
* excessive tiredness
* slow or difficult speech
* dizziness or faintness
* weakness or numbness of an arm or leg
* blurred vision
* changes in vision
* rash
* swelling or blistering of the skin that was covered by the patch

* motion tics or verbal tics
* abnormal thinking

Not sure what the drug is used to treat however, he is YOUR SON. If you don't want him on this patch than wean him off or you may be able to simply stop it altogether. Look up the medication and read about it.
Talk to your sons doctor and let him/her know that you simply aren't comfortable with this. He's YOUR child.
