I have a cocker spaniel and I got her for free. IF you got to a breeder they are expensive but some breeders will guarantee their health for so long after you get them just check out the breeder really well before you spend alot of money on the dog. My cocker spaniel is 13 years old and just now starting having health problems but she has been a wonderful dog. I have to kids and she is good with them. I couldn't ask for her to be a better dog and she was really easy to train. Good luck

a well bred cocker spaniel should run you anywhere from 800-2000 dollars in the US

a poorly bred cocker is anywhere from 200-1000 and will run you anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand in vet costs and anxiety

a rescue cocker is anywhere from free to $250 ish, and may need some monitary investment if it is in bad shape

cockers can have : bad knees, bad skin, eye problems and TEMPERMENT problems, if you buy from a breeder be sure you can pet mom and dad, not just "See" them, if you cant walk away, dont buy one from a pet store, because cockers need serious early socializing

rescue dogs are not always easy but are well worth the effort knowiong you saved a sad-eyed soul.
