no such thing as 1200mg of ibuprofen. I don't know what you have but the largest is 800mg. the max dose is 3200mg per day, so don't exceed that.
ODing would include Kidney damage which is a very nasty, long hospital stay which includes dialysis.
wouldn't suggest.

Where are you getting 1200 mg each ibuprofen??? Usually 500-800. You can OD but I don't know about "die". Probably put you into a coma-like state, that is if you don't throw up from too many in the first place.

YES! You can OD on ibuprofen, and it can kill you. It can cause bleeding, breathing trouble, ringing in the ears, blurry vision, and electrolyte imbalances (it can mess up blood levels of different, necessary, things), and many other things. Call 911 or the poison control center if you think you or someone else has overdosed. The amount needed to overdose depends on the person and the strength of each pill. Poison contol: 1-800-222-1222

Why are you asking this?
If you are considering suicide please call your local suicide help line or 911. Please do not ask us here, how to do it.
If not, are you asking because the recommended dose isn't helping and you want to know how high you can go without danger? Again, this is not a good question. If the recommended dose isn't helping you need to check with your health care provider for something stronger and/or for adjunct pain relief methods such as biofeedback, accupressure, electrostimulation, etc.
If you are asking simply for information purpose, whether it is possible to OD on ibuprofen, you probably can. As to the exact mechanisms for OD, what body systems will be harmed, what the symtoms are, and possible treatment, just search on it. The info is out there. And you'll probalby find out that death by OD is not certain, definitely not pleasant, and, if you survive, you may be in far worse shape than you are now.

I don't know, but I think it could make your stomach bleed. Definetly do some damage, but I don't know if it would kill you. I don't think they make ibuprofen in 1200 mg. pills. I thought they go to 800 mgs. because you are not supposed to take over 800 mgs.

You can o.d. on anything, if you take ten times what you're supposed to take. If you took that whole bottle of ibuprofen you'd be in trouble, but if you never take more than 2 every 4 to 6 hrs. you'll be fine.
