Hmmm...if u r planning for a short tour, both places are equally good. They offer different things to see, obviously. Well, at leat in Singapore, people speak English but if u r planning to go to Korea, pick up some Korean language, it will greatly help u. Both are modern with great infrastructures with Singapore being a little hotter than Korea(again, obviously).I'd personally choose Singapore since I'm more familiar with it.

I've lived as an Expat businessman in Singapore for 3 years and Korea for 5 years. Frankly, Korea is a dump compared to Singapore. Traffic is a nightmare, everything is filthy, laws appear to be optional depending on who is watching, communications are near impossible due to the lack of English spoken (but apparently understood by most), health care is questionable and varies from one hospital to another, the food - very little choice other than Korean Food, the climate - freezing cold in the winter, hot and muggy in the summer (but its always hot in Singapore), and last but not least - its horribly polluted (search for Korea - yellow dust on the web). Living in Korea is what I imagine it must have been like to live during the industrialization of Europe- progress at any cost - damn the environment. After living in Seoul for awhile you get used to all of this...until you leave and you realize just how bad it is and ask yourself why you stay.
So, to answer your question - SINGAPORE !!!!

South Korea. Definitely. I'm from Singapore, and there's nothing much to do here, except shop, eat, watch movies and club. Its such a tiny island that you could finish touring the entire place within a day (believe me, there's nothing much to see).

Korea on the other hand, has a rich history and a lotta historical sites and natural landscapes to admire. (especially in islands like Jeju, which is a volcanic region and has a lotta beautiful beaches). Nami Island (in Chuncheon) and Yong Pyeong ski resort are also really beautiful places.

The best time to go is in April-May (spring), when the cherry blossoms (sakura) are in full bloom and the air is crisp and cool.

China may win. the jap does not stand a chance. Their chance-free practices pressure at modern-day isn't something like it replaced into in WWII. The treaty they made after the conflict with the U. S. allowed them to have basically a Defence pressure and not in any respect a thoroughly functioning defense force. also the chinese language defense force became a lot more effective effective after the Communists took over. If both international places went to conflict at modern-day, it should be an quite short conflict.....except the U. S. replaced into to intervene and help Japan....yet then Russia and North Korea may come to China's help and Britain and an exceptionally good type of Europe may come to the U. S. and Japan's help, triggering WWIII which I surely believe Russia and China may win. that's basically the chain reaction if activities that ought to ensue if yet another Sino-jap conflict were to commence. Now we do not choose that, can we? I surely do not.
