Japan definitely. more advanced, more fun, more exciting, but also more expensive than Korea.
People, especially young people, in Korea, in fact in many Asian countries like Hong Kong and Taiwan, are crazy about Japanese stuff. They copy the names of buildings, streets and places, the culture, fashion, TV shows and even words from Japan.

Definitely Japan, as the environment is friendlier to tourists who don't understand the language.
The shopping centres in Japan allow you to try on clothes before purchasing whereas Korea don't even have fitting rooms.
