Boy, did those neo-cons really screw up, wanting all those American forces moved out of Afghanistan! Or maybe that is what they wanted. When that heroin starts hitting the street in the next couple of years, the neo-cons will be blamed for it, whether they intended for it to happen or not.

Why should it do anything about poppies? Imagine if some foreign country tried to tell the U.S. we can't grow tobacco anymore. That would never fly here.
If the Afghans want to legalize opium, let them. They're a sovereign nation. Let them legalize/criminalize whatever they want. We have better things to do.
