I was on the elevator today at work. I was headed up to my office. I got on the elevator with this amazingly beautiful and very professional woman. I wanted so badly to introduce myself to her and pay her the complement but then I thought "nah, she'll think I'm odd or something". I was wondering. What do you think? What would you have done?

You've gotta have the right way to do it man. Confidence goes a long way. You wouldn't have lost a thing. I say you should have gone for it, absolutely.

Depends on what you want to accomplish. If you just want to make somebody feel good, tell them they look good, beautiful, whatever. Tell her you like her shoes, hat, gloves, purse, belt, dress, jewelry...or that she looks very attractive in that outfit, etc. If you're trying to hit on her, ask her out. Try some of the pick-up lines that show up on the web. If she is truly attractive, she knows it. Others have told her. And she looks in the mirror. Sometimes it works better to compliment some specific thing about her outfit rather than the entire person. This shows her you have focused on something and that compliments her taste.

When I'm on the elevator, people say "Oh, I love your outfit, u look so pretty with that outfit." I love those comments. It makes me feel confident for the day actually.

No, not on the elevator darling, that might be scary for her, it is okay on the main lobby or on the street, but not in a confined place, a strange guy coming on to you uh uh.

If I had been her, I would not have thought you odd. I think everyone likes to receive complements.

Maybe you should just introduce yourself first, and tell her shes beautiful after you get to know her better.

she probably would have been flabbergasted, you should have said something but it never too late you might get to see her again. A man told me I was beautiful once and I said thank you,

well with todays "zero tolerance" workplace, you probably did the smart thing. Maybe if you see her outside of work somewhere you could say something to her.

I wouldn't see anything wrong with it if someone said it to me so long as he wasn't intending to assault me or something.
