Probably the same "sectarian violence" that's happening now times 10. These "people" have been at each others throats for over two thousand years. Saddam's iron fisted rule just kept a lid on it. The "people" of Iraq get "liberated", and what's the first thing they do??? Kill each other. What a waste of American resources trying to settle a multi-millennium "blood feud" that will be raging another two thousand years into the future, and beyond. Feel free to study the "ethnic cleansing" of Yugoslavia for further insight...

We will never "leave" Iraq. I'm not saying we will always be at war, but we have built permanent bases over there, just like we did in Japan, and S. Korea, and Germany, etc.....
Once the war is over.....meaning once there's stability and the Iraqi government is handling things on it's own. Then we will just be a military "prescence" just like the other countries I mentioned. Our troops will be stationed there, training, preparing, living, raising their families etc.
All while being in a strategically perfect place should Iran or Afghanistan do something crazy.
I don't like war, but I think Bush made a good choice, one that will give us an edge in the future.
And if you think about it....all those countries we have bases in........have they been at war since then? NO...our military prescence keeps the peace.

well, i can tell you that after we leave there wont be any americans being killed over there. there isnt a whole lot left to loot over there, so after we leave there will be some last sporadic rioting and looting and revenge killings and celebrations, and then they will have to clean their own house. The first thing that will probably happen is the iraqi people will kill or chase out any foreign fighters, and then put together a pretend government. Since the people we back are usually vicious and corrupt, there will soon be a goverment in place that hates us and have been trained and equipped by us, sound familiar?

Literal Hell on Earth
Factional fighting for control would rip the guts out of what is left-- but even the knowledge OF that will not stop it !!
There are so many sub-cultures within the social "disorder" of that place-- that even the State Department doesn't have a completed list of them !! Each of them want to be King Daddy-o and will not cease the blood letting until hell freezes
Bush was told of this BEFORE we went in --- didn't matter to him in the least--- he wanted the dude that threatened his daddy-- and was willing to go to any extreme to get him !!

My fiance is in Iraq and although I want him home if we pull out now it will be a waste. Does anyone remember Desert storm? We could have taken care of it then but pulled out and where are we years later? The same fight...I want my man home...defending OUR soil not theirs but he will be there until things are settled and I would rather have him there and thing's get done than to leave and him have to go back and fight the same thing over again.

I hope no more troops die and this war could be over.
If the troops leave Baghdad right now things will probably get worse over ther and could be terrorist attacks. But hope we dont get any more attacks and no more troops die.
