Christians, how do you explain Atheist biblical scholars?

Saying Atheist biblical scholars are wrong about God's existence is like saying you know more about laws than lawyers

There are WAY more bible scholars who DO put faith in the Bible. If a person reads or studies it with the goal of tearing it apart or finding flaws, they will be able to fabricate any kind of lies they want. They might even be able to convince some other people who don't want to belive in the Bible that they are right. Only someone who truly wants the truth will discover the truth in it's pages.

They study the Bible so that they can pick it apart and try to find what they think are discrepancies. They are not alone in this. There are several other religions/ cults that do this as well. Their minds are already made up before they even open the book.

There is no need to explain their existence now, because unbelievers and naysayers have existed from the beginning. It's nothing new. In addition, just as their are atheist bible scholars, there are moreso Christian Bible Scholars. Please note that just because someone is a scholar, does not mean that they can not be wrong. Guess what, scholars very often disagree with each other. So don't let someone impress you because they have a piece of paper declaring they are a know-it-all.

For the most part even as a Christian lay man, I enjoyed answering the questions posted by atheists / atheists sholars when the Yahoo Discussion was open - as long as it was civil. Peace.

the bible can be interpreted as a holy book, a historical document, or a book of stories designed to make people think about life and the interactions they have with others. so since you can look at it from any combination of those perspectives, athiest biblical scholars are experts on the history, but don't believe in its holiness. i don't know if this answered your question since it was poorly phrased, but that's that.

These guys are like the pencil pushers who have a lot of word detail but fail miserably at interpretation. They think they have answers and they know nothing.

They are only wise in their own eyes and legends in their own minds. Of course you would not agree because you're as blind sided as they are.

There are some people who study literature and its history and yet are able to distinguish fiction from reality.

Have you ever met somebody who knows a lot about comic books, yet realizes there are no superheroes in real life? Same idea.

Belief in God is faith, which is a persuit of the heart.

I know many people who should not be in their professions as they basically are really bad at what they do. And I also know many people who should become professional at their hobbies, but don't for their own reasons.

I've never heard the term Atheist biblical scholars. I suppose they are people who read the bible to dismantle it and try to find something in there that will prove their right. They won't find it because the bible is perfect, without contradiction.
