Yah, I think they'll all have a pretty unhappy life. The 19 year old is not a boy, he is a man, and he should stand up and do the right thing to take care of the baby for the rest of his/her life. I think the age of consent varies by state, but I guess if it was pursued the 19 year old could be charged with statutory rape and be sent to jail. Why the man didn't use protection, I'll never know.

If anyone official like the doctors or nurses find out who the father is he will be charged with statutory rape. If the 15 year old girl or her parents want to file charges they can. The only exception is if they are in a place where they are legally married.
If she doesn't tell who the father is, no one can force her to get a paternity test, except the father and that is after the baby is born.
Once the baby is born, in many states she will be considered a legal adult (since she has a child), and he can NOT be prosecuted.

Well there is more than that to consider. There are many relationships out there with people the same age living together and miserable with kids. If they are happy and in love then it's great fair play for working it out together. I'm sure if the daughter loves her dad and sees that he is happy she can surely see it's ok too. I'm not in that situation so I don't know all the circumstances but from what I can imagine I think if it's a consensual relationship then great.

Time was when 19 wasn't an "older man" where a 15 year old was concerned. Hell, there's 13 years between my wife and myself. Nevertheless, times have changed. At 19, he's a legal adult, and you're not. If your momma makes a stink, he's hosed.

been a very long time since I considered a 19 yr old as an older man. If the mother says nothing, then nothing will happen.

Well sooner or later someone is going to find out. So if it's you i would stop in your tracks. Also, if you are 5 years older than this girl then that is called sexual harassment. The minimum of jail time would be 4 years.

I was on a labor and delivery unit once when a 14-year-old gave birth, and the nurses and the girl's mom were talking about reporting the father because he was in his 20's.

It depends on where you live, really. The laws are different in each state/country.
If the mother is fine with it,then there shouldn't be a problem.
