Those who die bravely and with honor (such as falling in battle) are taken by the valkyries ; half end up in Valhalla (Odin's Hall) if they are trothed to Odin and the other half in Folkvang (Freyja's Hall). Valhalla is only one of the many halls in Asgard and Asgard is one of Nine Worlds. The Norse have a very rich and complex afterlife, its wildly different they the monotheists heaven/hell concept.

The Norse Gods and Goddesses do not punish people for not worshiping them. Belief in them is not a requirement to a good afterlife.

No. Odin's Valkyries are said to come receive you into Valhalla if you die violently in a Fierce, Honorable and Glorious battle... Valhalla is a Land for Warriors. So i guess you don't need to be an Odinite to enter Valhalla

No, if Valhalla is truly the potential afterlife, then all can make it regardless of belief.

The only two religions, literally, that believe 'our way or the highway' are Christianity and Islam. No other considers itself the ONLY way.

Me though... Asgard isn't an option for me. As a Scion of Fenrirvulf, my place is with the Jotun.

If that subject have been to stand up, Odin could be attentive to that I examine of his deeds whilst i replaced into right here in the worldwide, and that i by no potential maligned him or any of his followers. i might ask for him to bear in concepts that as human beings, we make the main suitable feasible alternatives with the information that we've available to us. i replaced into raised in a subculture that does no longer normally comprehend the Norse deities as valid; although, I had an probability to fulfill people who do comprehend them as valid, and found out from them. So i might tell Odin that besides the certainty that I observed a various path, I by no potential slandered him nor harmed any of his followers. If he chosen to grant me mercy consistent with that, i could be appreciative. If no longer, that's his call. I admit that my ideals could desire to be incorrect, yet whilst following my ideals, i'm no longer bashing different ideals or human beings's superb to coach those ideals peacefully.

I believe you also have to die in battle, with your sword in your hand. Seems like a lot of trouble just to get to a colorfully named corner of Hell.
