With about 5 seconds left, the clock goes away and it is annoying because you don't know how when the bell will sound. This happens on every channel and even in kickboxing. Why does it happen?

The clock shown on television is unofficial. They don't want to make it seem like the rounds are long or short.

Advertisers pay a lot of money for those commercial spots, and you don,t want to offend them by still having the clock showing during their ads. Normally the commercial must run immediately after the round with very little time to spare.

it's kinda like when a director counts down before the beginning of a scene. 5,4,3, 2 ...then silence, u just count in your head and go on with the scene.

but if u can't count down from 5 to 0 without looking at the clock...u might have a problem
