Oosh! This is honestly really hard! I play the Clarinet, Saxophone, and the Piano! Can I choose more than one? Because I would choose A, B, and C!

Prefer for what?
I personally prefer to play the piano. I love watching drums/percussion being performed, but I'd hate having a drum-player practicing in my house. The recorder is the cheapest. Saxophone, trumpet and piano players have the most versatile job options, but the piano isn't portable. The flute is the lightest instrument to carry on a school bus and still be in the school band. The trombone is a really cool instrument and my son had many happy years playing trombone through high school and college.
So the answer is that it depends on what you're asking for.

For what? Question needs some clarification. I prefer a clarinet for dixieland (along with a trombone) I prefer a violin for blues and Mozart, I prefer a flute for Bach and celtic ballads, I prefer a recorder for music written specifically for a record. I prefer a piano for relaxed playing and background music and drums belong strictly in the background as an accompliment, except for light jazz.
And so forth. But to ask which one somebody prefers? Not a very profound question. And not a very complete list.

ive been playin the piano for almost 10 yrs, so naturally i like it. however, i think that trumpet players are really cool and im trying to learn drums now. the recorder is kinda of the easiest to learn. however, now i like the guitar the best, since i have 4 of them at home and its a very versatile instrument.
still, for the best sound, its great to have ppl play ALL of them together :)

J. Violin - it can have so many different personalities (brilliant high notes or rich low notes), and can carry several melodies at once. You can bow it, or pluck it, you can do all sorts or different bow techniques that just can't be duplicated on a non-string instrument.
I love to play the violin, too.

C. depending on who is playing. The Piano has the widest range, and so can have a greater contrast. However, other instruments can have a great deal of contrast, energy, and emotion if they are played well.
