Does anyone know where I can find a website that offers free downloads of video editing software (that isn't a trial and doesn't give viruses)?

i know lots .. u need to be more specific about what ur wanting to do and what filetypes u have tho ...

These are some of the open source video editing projects. Go to sourceforge.net and get one of these. WIll notrecommend any of these after using adobe premiere.

The only one worth using is Adobe Premiere.

For speedy editing you'll want to have at least:
Dual Core CPU (preferably Core 2 or AMD 64/Opteron)
1gb + RAM
2 SATA hard drives (one for Windows, one for editing)

you should try telling about what type of computer you have windows and mac. If you have windows you should have recieved the windows movie player on the computer but for a mac you should have gotten imovie.
